Buttons are interactive elements that enable users to navigate through a conversation. They provide options for the message recipient to perform actions, such as opening a WebView, starting another flow, or initiating a call. In this guide, we'll explore different types of buttons and how to set them up.
Types of Buttons:
-
Flow Button:
- This button allows an admin to choose the next step in the conversation that triggers when a user clicks the button.
-
URL Button:
- You can add a URL to this button, which will open in a new tab of your web browser. Note that the URL must start with "HTTPS://" to save the changes.
⭕ The URL must be HTTPS:// otherwise you will get an error that will not allow you to save changes.
-
Phone Button:
- The Phone button is a useful feature for sales teams and service businesses. When tapped, it dials a phone number, and the phone number should be in the format +COUNTRY_CODE<PHONE_NUMBER>.

- Each button must have a name with fewer than 20 characters, and you can include emojis.
- Select the button type.
- You can add more buttons to the question by clicking on "+ Add button" and create additional buttons.
Info! Button text is limited to 80 characters. Don't use more than 1-3 words or add punctuation. Try to keep your text under 20 characters, including spaces.
Extra Actions: Save Answers in Attributes
With the Multiple Choice Option, you can save users' selections in attributes. These attributes can take various formats, including:
- Text
- Phone
- Number
- Location
- Date and Time
- URL
This feature is especially useful for confirming orders. For instance, you can use it to save the user's selected items in a Google Sheet for easy order confirmation and tracking.
For example, if you want to store a user's choice of drink option, you can create an attribute called "drink" and add the name of the chosen drink. Similarly, for meal options, you can create an attribute called "meal" and add the name of the selected meal. This way, when the user clicks an option, their choice will be saved in the respective attribute.
Here are the steps:
- Create an Attribute: Give it a name related to the choice (e.g., "drink" or "meal").
- Format the Attribute: Format the Attribute: Choose a suitable format for the attribute, aligning with your choice (e.g., "text" or "number").
- Add the Choice: When the user selects an option, add the name of their choice to the attribute (e.g., "Coffee" or "Burger").
- Automatically Saved: The system will automatically save the user's choice in the attribute for future reference.
