Your chatbot's conversation is essentially a Group of flows that are linked together. These Flows are a group of messages that your chatbot sends. They represent the various types of messages your chatbot can send to users. Think of them as different flavors of chat. and can include buttons, quick replies, and other interactive elements.
To Create a Group of flows that are linked together.
- Start with the Welcome Message and Add your welcome message
The conversation begins with a Welcome Message. It's the first interaction a user has with your chatbot, often when they first engage or greet the chatbot.
- In a new or existing folder, Click "+ Add Flow '' button in the flow builder.
Create flow step allows you to create any sort of message you might want to send and add various messages to it such as Text, Video, or Gallery, for example. Review Messages Types and Quick Reply, Buttons to learn more about the options of the Send Message flow.
- Add your Text Messages
Note: These flows are interconnected, which means the bot will send the welcome message and stop there.
- If you have multiple flows to manage various parts of your chatbot's conversation, You have 3 options: Add Interactive Buttons, Quick replies, Or Use Go To Flow action to guide users to the next flow after they complete the current one.
1- Use Go To Flow action
You can use the "Go To Flow" option to send users to a different flow. If you don't need to add buttons to click on
- Click “Go to Flow” to guide users to the next flow after they complete the current one
- Click the Go to drop-down to select a flow
A list of all your created flows appears.
- Then Select a flow.
- If you need to create a new flow, enter the name
- Click +Create flow on the right side drop-down to add the flow.
2- Quick Replies
- Click +Add Quick Reply
- Enter Quick Replies title
- Click the Flow drop-down to select a flow
A list of all your created flows appears.
- Then Select a flow.
- If you need to create a new flow, enter the name of the new flow
- Click +Create flow on the right side drop-down to add the flow
3- Reply Buttons
- Click +Add Button
- Enter Button title
- Click the Flow drop-down to select a flow
A list of all your created flows appears.
- Then Select a flow.
- If you need to create a new flow, enter the name of the new flow
- Click +Create flow on the right side drop-down to add the flow
If you need different chat flows for various channels, use the "conditions Go to flow" feature to direct users based on where they come from. To learn more, go to "Conditions Go To Flow".
Actions Overview
- Rename Flow:
Renaming flows is easy and can make it easier to identify them. You have the flexibility to rename any flow.
Just click on the flow name and change it.
- Duplicate Flow:
If you want to reuse an existing flow, duplication is the way to go.
Remember, This feature allows you to copy Actions, Custom User Attributes, and Messages & connected flows that are attached to the current one using the Go-To flow.
- Delete Flow:
To keep your chatbot well-organized, use the delete feature to remove any unnecessary flows.
Remember, to disconnect the flows linked to other flows in the bot before deleting them. This includes links created through user input, 'Go to Flow' actions, buttons, or quick replies.
- Rearrange Flow:
You can rearrange the order of flows to create a logical conversation structure.
Just drag the flow while holding your right mouse or touchpad button. When it comes to your right place, release the button, and you're done!
