Creating a Broadcast
- Initiate the Broadcast
- Click on the Broadcast feature tab, then click on "+ Create New Broadcast".
- Assign a clear, descriptive name for easier management later (e.g., "Summer Sale Announcement").
- Select the Webchat channel.
- Choose Message Type
Select the message type that aligns with your content, ensuring compliance with Facebook's policies:

Standard Messaging
- A regular message you can send to users within the last 24 hours of their interaction with your chatbot.
- Can be promotional or non-promotional.

Confirmed Event Update
- Used to send appointment reminders and event-related updates to users who have registered for your events.
- Must be non-promotional.

Post-Purchase Update
- Provides users with updates relevant to their latest purchases, such as receipts, shipment information, or order updates.
- Must be non-promotional.

Account Update
- Notifies the user of any updates relevant to the data they provided, such as form submissions or account updates.
- Must be non-promotional.
- Create Message Flow
- Design a sequence of messages for a more interactive experience (useful for complex broadcasts).
- Select Audience
- Choose whether to send the message to all users who are currently interacting with the bot.
Note: This broadcast message is being sent to users who are currently interacting with the bot.
- Or filter users who are currently interacting with the bot based on demographics, interests, and past interactions for targeted messaging.
- Schedule or Send Now
- Choose a specific date and time for your broadcast to go out, or send it immediately.
- Publish or Save Draft
- Click "Publish" to send the broadcast to your target audience.
- Alternatively, Click "Back" to save it as a draft for further edits before publishing.
Note: Incomplete broadcasts with content are automatically saved as drafts in the "Draft" tab for later editing.
Where can I see my statistics?
To view statistics on a particular Webchat broadcast in WideBot, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Broadcast" section in the main menu.
- Click on the "History" tab to see all the broadcasts you have sent.
- You can filter the broadcasts by channel to see only Facebook Messenger broadcasts.
- Review the broadcast details, including the target audience size and the number of messages successfully sent.
Note: You can resend a previously sent broadcast message if needed.
Managing Your Broadcasts
- Scheduled Broadcasts: View, edit, and pause scheduled broadcasts.
- Drafts: Access messages that are in progress or paused.
- Broadcast History: View the history and summary of previous broadcast messages. Edit and resend messages from history.
